Who we are
Screeq is an applicant tracking and HR platform operated by your employer or the company that invited you. They are the data controller for any personal data you submit while applying for a role or while employed. Screeq acts as a data processor on their behalf.
What we collect
- Application data: name, contact details, CV, answers to screening questions, recorded responses, interview notes, and any documents you upload.
- Account data: email, hashed password, login activity, and notification preferences.
- Optional analytics: page views and feature usage, only when you accept analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
Each company sets its own retention period for rejected applications (default 180 days). Hired-employee records are kept for the duration of your employment plus the period required by local law. You can ask for an export or deletion at any time.
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies for authentication, security, and saving your session. Optional analytics cookies are only set if you click Accept in the consent banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the screeq:cookie-consent entry in your browser's local storage.
Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Logged-in candidates can submit a request from their privacy dashboard. Anyone else can email the company that invited them.
Sub-processors
Screeq uses managed cloud infrastructure for storage and authentication, and a hosted AI gateway for AI-powered screening. All providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations consistent with GDPR. A current list of sub-processors is available on request from your account owner.
Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+). Sensitive documents are stored in private buckets and only accessible via short-lived signed URLs. Access to candidate records is gated by row-level security policies tied to company membership.
