Leave (Time Off)

Authorised absence from work — vacation, sick, parental, etc.

Modern leave systems handle accrual + balance per policy and country, manager approval, conflict warnings, and integration with payroll.

The country-by-country variation is enormous (statutory minimums, public holidays, parental leave) — a single global policy almost never fits. Policy-as-code per country is the only sustainable model past 5 countries.
