Async (Asynchronous) Interview

Interview where the candidate records answers on their own time, scored later.

Async interviews replace early-stage phone screens. Candidates respond to standard questions on their own schedule, on any device. Recruiters review at 2× speed and score on the same rubric.

Internal Screeq data shows ~78% completion rate vs 30–40% for scheduled phone screens. The format wins on candidate convenience (no timezone gymnastics, mobile-first) and recruiter throughput (parallel review, no calendar coordination).

Async works best for the first human signal after CV review. It does not replace deep technical or values interviews later in the loop.
