Data Retention

How long you can/should keep candidate and employee records.

Retention rules vary by jurisdiction. EU candidate records typically must be deleted 6–12 months after the application closes unless the candidate opts in to talent-pool retention.

US retention is generally longer (1–4 years depending on EEO requirements). The right design is policy-driven, automated, and auditable — not an Excel reminder.
