DEI in 2026 has matured beyond representation targets to focus on equitable processes (structured interviews, calibrated comp) and measurable inclusion (engagement scores by group).

The strongest evidence base sits on structural interventions: structured interviews, anonymised CV review, calibrated scoring, diverse panels, and equity-audited comp. Awareness training has weak evidence on hiring outcomes; process changes have strong evidence.
